Think athleisure, but for sleepwear.
I have an obsession with collecting vintage silk lingerie and sleepwear. But these pieces are not functional; they are too exquisite to wear to bed and also too delicate wear out. So wouldn’t it be a concept if there was clothing that mirrored these vintage designs that allowed us to do both…wear them in or out, as desired?
As I was designing the Cloud Collection, I had a difficult time verbalizing what it meant to wear from “day to night.” But then for Paris Fashion Week 2017, Lanvin upgraded pajamas, with many asking, “Could sleepleisure be the next athleisure?”
And Vanessa Friedman tweeted this gorgeous picture captioned, “The negligee gown, not just for bedtime.”
Yes, validation that I am not the only one that wants to wear her sleepwear out! So without further ado, here are a few ideas on how you can day-to-night in the Cloud Collection:
The Cloud Camisole
The basic silk camisole has become a staple to many wardrobes; it embodies the meaning of sexy but simple. We see this look trending among celebrities such as Eva Longoria and Emily Ratajkowski:
….and you can definitely get the look with our Cloud Camisole:
The Cloud Slip Dress
This dress boasts the elegance and silk slink of a slip dress, but is truly meant to be worn for an evening night out. Unlike a slip, this design has a fuller skirt, a side zipper, and adjustable straps, raising the bar for both sexy and comfort.
The Cloud T Top
This top has found its niche as the go-to business casual top. It is perfect tucked into a pencil skirt or left flowing over a pair of pants. And its best kept secret? The shiny charmeuse is on the inside, so you can feel super comfortable at work!
The Cloud Babydoll
Inspired by my favorite vintage nightgown, I have worn this babydoll out numerous times with wedges, heels, and even doc martens. It also looks super cute with tights or over jeans.
